BTi 1200ITU/mg Powder Mosquito Wiggler Killer
Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. Israelensis (Bti) is a naturally occurring bacterium used for mosquito-borne disease control. This highly specific insecticide effectively targets and eliminates mosquito larvae while being safe for humans and other animals.
Working Mechanism
The parasporal crystal of Bti serves as the primary insecticidal component. When mosquito larvae ingest it, the crystal degrades and releases toxic molecules that bind to specific receptors in the intestinal membrane, leading to paralysis, bowel perforation, starvation, and ultimately death.
Biological Mechanism
Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (B.t.i) is one of the most widely used microbial mosquitocides globally. Insecticidal Crystal Proteins (ICP) release toxic substances under alkaline conditions and protease enzymolysis in the larval midgut, causing larval paralysis and disruption of potassium ion balance.
